It's a wrap on Spring Break...
Had a great time camping at Wooly Hollow w Baylie... He did lots of fishing and I read and went on a 4 mile hike w Maryle. Stayed up late around the camp fire and slept in and had late breakfast each morning... Loved every minute of it... We had a great time and were sad to see the week end...

It's here....
Over the week-end, me and Kent did tons of outside work around the house... We mulched, tilled the garden, planted some wildflowers, re-potted plants and worked on getting the Patio back in order. That's where we spend the majority of our time during the Summer and Fall too actually.. We were exhausted by last night. But it's a new week and best of all it's Spring Break... We have some fun things planned for the week...

Leggos & Pickers
Two of Baylie's favorites... . He combined the two last week while he was home sick from school and made a replica of the shop off Pickers... I love how detailed he is with his out of the box creations! But not as much as I love my sweet boy!
The pic of him is from a few weeks ago..we took him to dinner and yogurt before we left town to go to NO.

Weekend Wrap..
This past week-end was a busy one.... On Friday, We Kent put in a much needed french drain in our flower bed --had a problem with rain water seeping into garage (it was a builder flaw). Needless to say, it's done! It's been on the project list for over a year, while he was at it--he added a sprinkler head to the front yard--we had a dead spot last year where water was not reaching it.
Saturday, he finished up the drain, with Baylie's help--that kid is always such a big help. Since, I'm down in my back, I stayed in and cleaned and caught up on spme spray paint projects.... Lol Later on that evening, with a couple's help that we just met that runs a thrift/really cool store we totally rearranged the house and we LOVE it.. It was the craziest thing ever, they came over to give me some advice/tips on possible painting our bedroom furniture--which by the way--Julie totally vetoed! Ha Within an hour or so she had helped me with 3 different rooms--major transformation. It was too fun! Afterwards, we ended up meeting them for dinner and the best part they are super cool and plan to meet up again soon!
By Sunday, we were exhausted, but had a few things that still needed to be done and our oldest son's b-day was Sunday. So, we cooked a big steak dinner for him. He's 25, and like his Dad in so many ways... He's so laid back, really atheltic, but very competitive... He's a great guy--on the journey of figuring ths thing out tht we call 'life'. He has a great personality and we love spending time with him!

Breaking in the Camper
We are camping this weekend close to home so that we could get use to the new camper before we take it out of state. Fri was nice, we had a camp fire and Kent cooked stew over the fire. Baylie fished some... Today, is pretty windy, so we will prob hang out in camper a lot and watch movies/play scrabble.
I've not felt well for a few days... Kent was sweet and bought me a new heated throw as I've been really cold even in camper. Keeps me from burning them out...:)
We love the camper, Baylie was so surprised when we picked him up from school on Friday!

A Valentines Night...
It was a low key one at home... I made home-made alfredo sauce (for the first time)-so so good, recipe was from a friend --we had caesar salad, french bread, and wine. Kent made choc-covered strawberries. He built a fire-it was a very relaxing night!
Kent, I love you and the life I share with you...

Oh, and silly, I know.. but Marlye went to the 'spa' as we called it. It's a local place called Splash and Dash.. where you can take your dogs and actually give them a bath and everything there. She has been shedding so much, and we wanted to get her bathed and brushed before we take her camping this week-end. Just thought it was funny--that she went to the 'spa' on V-day. Lol

A Valentine Morning...
So, me and Kent got up at the crack of dawn, so I could decorate the breakfast area and he could start on the beignets (french donuts) w/ powder sugar and maple syrup. So good... Kent is the official breakfast cook in the house. He does such a good job and I love him so much...This was no easy task as I'm not morning person nor is my daughter... But it was so worth it... I filled a basket full of everyone's favorite candy this year. Baylie was the first one up, and was surprised-we also took him to school today rather than him riding the bus....
Brit surpirsed us all with our favorite candy as well, she is always so thoughtful.. Funny story.... after xchanging candy.. Baylie comes back from his room with a pumkin full of candy left over from Halloween... Lol.. That kid is so funny...
We don't spend alot of money on Valentines Day, and they know how much we love them--but it's nice to have a day to put a little more emphasis on Love and have just fun....
After I got to work, I had this e-mail from Britnie... made my day.....

New Camper
So.... Friday, we traded in our camper for a new one that better fits our needs. Since the kids are older, we no longer needed the bunk beds. It was kinda sad to see our old one go-- such great memories and it was our first camper. But we r super excited about the new one. It has a huge picture window that will b awesome look out at the lake or mountains. We've already got some out of state trips planned which will be a first... We are surprising Baylie this weekend..he is out of school on Friday so were are taking him camping-- he has no idea that we traded! Can't wait to surprise him and get away for the weekend. We plan to relax, build a fire, play games and cook outside!

Weekend Plans
So, glad its Thursday, cause that's really our Friday....
Thursday- Date Nite, after work we are headed to have Sushi and happy hour. Can't wait... Luv hanging w my husband, it's the best part of our week!
Friday- we are getting a new camper-- pretty exciting. We have decided to trade ours in for one that better fits our needs.. A little sad, kinda like selling ur first house-- lots of memories.. But we're super excited, we've been looking/ debating since last year.
Then, it's grilling hamburgers and playing Phase 10 w/ Baylie. He's been kicking our butt at Scrabble!
Saturday- probably errands and maybe diving into our bedroom project. No plans for the evening just yet-- that depends on if and how far we get on the bedroom.
Sunday- Church, cooking and relaxing w/ the family...

This was a good book, even if you're not a big Football fan, Tim is such a good role model and his story is inspiring.

Pottery Barnish
We have a little mud room closet right when u come in from garage but its always full..... We needed a little more room to hang jackets, bags, etc. So, we came up with this idea.. It was so simple and cheap..
Kent basically took the back of the pallet off and cut the sides down so it would hang flush and then added a small board to secure it to the wall...
I had bought the number hooks at Hobby Lobby a few months ago when they were 1/2 off...
Total Cost...$10
Pallet =free
Number Hooks= $10
We love it, this is on the wall as soon as u walk in from our garage!
